Meet the President

Welcome to WHET! I am so excited that you have made a decision to invest time in learning more about Women in Higher Education in Tennessee.  

Since 1980, Women in Higher Education in Tennessee (WHET) has strived to be the premier professional organization for all women in higher education in Tennessee. WHET is part of the American Council on Education network. The mission of WHET is to meet the professional needs of women by facilitating networking, mentoring and professional development. It is a goal of WHET to assist all women in reaching their higher education career objectives.  

My hope is that you will become more engaged in the opportunities afforded by WHET to serve, learn and grow professionally.  

On this site, you will find information about our programs and services, events, higher education career opportunities and WHET member news, as well as articles on research and happenings on a variety of higher education topics.
