Policy Provisions

Staff Expectations

This section contains general policies, procedures, and expectations for all clinical staff related to employment in the Center.


Clinical Staff Responsibilities

Staff clinicians provide the following services (within the scope of their practice):


· Initial assessments- history and physical exams

· Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of minor illness/injuries

· Referral to outside providers as appropriate

· Presentation of programs and workshops to students and staff

· Management of client records

· Documentation of services: medications, labs, diagnostics and treatment

· Service on university committees as needed


Each member of the clinical staff agrees to take some form of administrative responsibilities.  All Center staff report to the Director of the Rudy Wellness Center and the Director reports to the Dean of the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Sciences.



Standard office hours at the Rudy Wellness Center are from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  When a staff member is absent due to illness or emergency work, the Director should be notified by 8:00 a.m. to make arrangements for Center services.


Professional Development

Limited funds are provided in the Rudy Wellness Center budget to assist clinical staff in seeking professional development that is related to work in the Center.  Such funds are divided among the Director and clinical staff members to support attendance at conferences and workshops.



All clinicians are nursing faculty members in the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Sciences and share their employment responsibilities between the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Rudy Wellness Center.
