Cumberland University (CU) is chartered by the State of Tennessee and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (www.sacs.org) to award associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4501 for questions about the accreditation of Cumberland University. The Universitys undergraduate and graduate teacher education programs are approved by the Department of Education of the State of Tennessee (Office of Teacher Licensing, 5th Floor, Andrew Johnson Tower, 710 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN 37243-0377; Telephone Number 532-4885). The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Center (61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006; Telephone Number 212-363-5555 x153) and approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing (Cordell Hull Building, 426 5th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37247; Telephone Number 532-5166). Cumberland University, through its Labry School of Business and Technology, is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP, 7007 College Boulevard, Suite 420, Overland Park, Kansas, 66211) and offers the following business degrees: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA).
