McFarland Hospital and Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing are designated as non-smoking environments. Students are not to smoke anywhere on campus.

 

Cumberland University nursing students are discouraged from smoking at lab/clinical agency sites. If a student feels they must smoke, smoking is allowed only at agencies that allow their employees to smoke and only in areas designated by the agency during an assigned lunch or supper period. Students are to maintain professional presentation during clinical experiences. Students with noticeable smoke odor are subject to dismissal from the clinical site by the Clinical Instructor.
