Cumberland University has adopted the federal refund policy as established by the United States Department of Education as defined in the Higher Education Act Amendments as specified in 1992. Federal refund policies are subject to revisions based on legislative changes and/or the issuance of additional federal regulations. The current policy is as follows:

A student that officially withdraws up to one week before or on the first day of class 100% refund. |

A student that officially withdraws after the first day of class through the first ten percent of the enrollment period 90% refund. |

A student that officially withdraws after the first ten percent through the first twenty-five percent of the enrollment period 50% refund. |

A student that officially withdraws after the first twenty-five per cent through the first fifty percent of the enrollment period 25% refund. |
| · |
A student that officially withdraws after the first fifty percent of the enrollment period is entitled to no refund. |
Official withdrawal, during any semester, does not cancel tuition and fee charges already incurred from previous terms.
