Apple iPADs will be issued to all full-time faculty and selected staff based on need. Adjunct faculty may receive an iPAD on loan if need is established.
1.2
Starting with the Fall Semester of the academic year 2011-2012, all incoming full-time, first-time freshmen, and all nursing students accepted to the nursing program that are accepted into the Nursing Foundations Course starting with the fall semester of 2011, will receive iPADs.

All iPADs are the property of the University. The instruments may not be sold, loaned, or given away.
Faculty and Staff can purchase the instrument at any time for a price that will be prorated based on age and use. Any employee leaving the University must return the iPAD or the prorated cost of the instrument will be deducted from their final paycheck.
Students must maintain full-time enrollment for one complete, sequential academic year before assuming ownership of the instrument. Students withdrawing before the completion of one academic year must return the iPAD to the University. Failure to do so will result in the prorated cost being added to their billing statement and will result in a hold on academic records until payment is complete.
The University reserves the right to inspect any device that has been assigned to a student, faculty, or staff member.
3.
Each individual (faculty, staff, or student) is responsible for the security and maintenance of the iPAD. If the instrument is damaged, stolen, or lost, it must be repaired or replaced in a timely manner at the expense of the faculty member, staff member or student. Independently obtained insurance is recommended.
