Each teacher should have a thorough understanding of the various types of tests and their relative value. Tests should be comprehensive, clear, and representative of the course material covered. Final examinations should not be given other than at the scheduled time. The Vice President for Academic Affairs must approve any changes in the exam schedule.
Security of examinations is important to the integrity of the educational process. Care should be taken in the preparation, typing, duplication, storage, administration, and grading of tests.
A final examination or other summative assessment activity is required in every section of every course each academic term. A copy of the final assessment activity for every course section must be filed in the Office of the School Dean and/or the Office of Academic Affairs.
