Fun With Photography

Monday - Friday (June 9-13 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily)

An entry-level photography course intended for beginning photographers wishing to go beyond their camera's automatic "point and shoot" feature. While becoming more proficient with the advanced settings, students will also acquire the skills required to create technically accurate and aesthetically appealing photographs. Throughout the duration of the course, students will learn the fundamentals of composition, subject, foreground and background, lines, shape, form, texture and repetition. The course explores the types and quality of natural and artificial light, exposure, shutter speed, and f/Stops and their reciprocals, selective focus using depth of field and focal length, photographic styles including portrait, family lifestyle, editorial, nature and wildlife.

Tuition: $275 if paid by June 2; $295 if paid by first class. Must own camera with advanced settings. Minimum age is 14 years.
